This review calls the book a well-structured & highly readable text on bereavement interventions with childern. The 7 case studies in Section Two are considered the real meat of the book. Theories & practice of grief counselling come alive. In these cases, death occurred in a family setting. The predominant therapeutic emphasis is on the technique of play therapy. The book demonstrates repeatedly, the benefits of this approach for bereaved children. Case descriptions often include drawings.
