The results presented in this article confirm the strong connection existing between violence & suicidality among hospitalized adolescents. Findings are consistent with a model of suicide & aggression that sees violence as the vectorial outcome of a large number of amplifiers & attenuators acting simultaneously. 40 inpatients with histories of frequent interpersonal violent behavior were compared with 36 hospitalized controls using self-report questionnaires.
