Nursing Postvention for Widows and Widowers who Have Lost a Spouse Through Suicide

The authors describe their research in which they evaluated group postvention during the bereavement process of widows & widowers who spouse died of suicide. One of the aims of the research was to evaluate the efficacy of 2 nursing postvention programs. To date, 16 subjects had entered into the study. Preliminary results indicate that both programs had therapeutic effects for the volunteer subjects.
