This article depicts the experiences of 2 young girls & their coping & growing strategies following their father’s suicide. After 3 years of intensive counselling, they & their therapist wrote this article concerning ways children & adolescents can adjust to a parental suicide. The underlying theme of the adjustment is found in the therapist’s belief that the girls can & will make it through this traumatic event, as they endeavour to reaffirm their own lives.
