Adolescent Health-Related Needs and the Implications for Suicide Prevention

Partners in this “Healthy Living Initiative” are Calgary Health Services, Calgary Board of Education, & University of Calgary. Target group: 6 senior high schools over a 3-year period. The kit provides demographics of respondents from 3 pilot schools (students, parents & school personnel), & includes a sample of the student questionnaire. Findings from the pilot studies clearly suggest that adults tend to be more problem-focused & students tend to be more solution-focused. (12 refs.)
