An earlier article by Dr. Martin Killias, School of Forensic Science & Criminology, University of Lausanne, Switzerland,(Can Med Assoc J 1993; 148:1721-1725) evoked these five letters to the Journal. All respondents took exception to either the methodology used by Killias or the conclusions drawn. A response and rebuttal letter by Killias is also provided.
