This article discusses community development from the perspective that it has been a fundamental tool in moving communities of various sorts toward positive lifestyles, healthier lives and fruition of resource development. Also important in the article is the issue that community development workers must have knowledge of abilities in many leadership functions in order to influence change or be agents for change.
