A number of case histories of murdered elderly anglo females in Los Angeles are reviewed. The author concludes by making recommendations for a special education program for the elderly. This program should pay special attention to the potential victim’s innocent disregard for the practice of general safety. Likewise, potential victims can be made aware of the behaviour patterns and gaps of knowledge that make them susceptible to being murdered. (9 refs.)
