This paper addresses the question of whether a suicide can be rationally justified. It begins with discussing a definition of suicide. It identifies factors which either together or independently, plunge the mind into irrationality. The views of other authors are discussed. Examples of suicides considered rational & moral as well as those considered irrational & immoral are provided. (7 Refs.)
