Prediction of Suicide in Psychiatric Patients: Report of a Prospective Study (IN: Assessment and Prediction of Suicide, edited by R W Maris et al)

This chapter discusses 3 basic methods for preventing suicide in patients based on the assumption that suicide is an undesirable event, & suicide in patients should be preventable if possible. A study is presented, using 4800 Ss given an author-developed rating scale. Limitations in the study are discussed and 28 references are included.
