Borderline personality organization, its suspected origins & recognizable behaviour patterns are briefly described. Reference is made to vignettes from Marsh Norman’s play, “Night, Mother”, as capturing the salient developmental dynamics & the intensity of primitive affects which are typical of borderline conditions.
