This panel discussion examined 4 professional perspectives concerning the issue of rational suicide in later life: clinical, social, sociocultural, & spiritual. Consideration is given to the dilemma of the professional worker & the caregiver, & to the influence of lifestyle, culture, stress, & spiritual well-being in later life decisions to suicide. Factors that facilitate & impede quality of later life are discussed.
