This paper addresses the questions posed by Reed et al (1985): can youth suicide be defined by sociological parameters; & can different types of clusters of suicide be shown to be changing over time? Results of this study supported the hypothesis, in that the pattern of change was statistically significant across 2 time periods. The largest increase was seen among older & younger males reacting to stress, & family disorganization & pathology. (15 refs.)
