Suicide Intervention Handbook & Community Protocols. Child & Youth Committee Interministerial Guidelines

The purpose of this handbook is to assist in the role of suicide prevention. The handbook is divided into 3 sections: 1) risk assessment – information is provided on risk assessment procedures, actions to take & follow-up procedures; 2) background information regarding youth & suicide, including information on myths, statistics, methods, caregivers, developmental issues of adolescents & grief; & 3) protocols designed for specific agencies & communities in the Lower Mainland.
