Suicidal tendencies among psychiatric outpatients were examined. The authors also defined suicidal risk patients in relation to their demographic characteristics, depression level, & the diagnosis they were given during psychiatric evaluation. Results showed that depressive patients, & those who were widowed or divorced were at high risk for suicide. There was no meaningful difference among the groups in terms of characteristics such as age, sex, profession, income level, & religious beliefs.
