The “Students Against Suicide” (SAS) program was developed by staff & students at a Winnipeg high school with the purpose of educating all students about teen suicide. The purpose of this article is to familiarize the reader with some specifics of the program. The rationale of the program, the selection of SAS members, their training & the actual workshop are examined. The program combines literature, film, discussion, group work, improvisation & role play with peer assisted learning.
