In these letters to the editor, six nurses comment on a previous article in which the author discussed the moral & ethical dilemma she faced when trying to decide if she should tell a hospice patient of his right to refuse treatment (see SIEC #920394). Some of the present authors support her decision to tell the patient, arguing that this right is well established under law. The rest do not support her decision arguing that, among other things, it condones assisted suicide.
