Rundell J R~~Kyle K M~~et al
15 U.S. Air Force HIV-seropositive suicide attempters were compared with 15 Air Force HIV-seropositive nonattempters. All subjects were aged 20-45 years & were on active duty. Among the most significant risk factors for suicide attempts were social isolation, perception of poor social support & presence of HIV-related occupational & interpersonal problems. Additional possible risk factors for this population include current major depression, previous suicide attempts & previous alcohol abuse.
