This chapter examines the complexities & mandatory procedures surrounding the operation of a living will & presents a protective procedure for implementation. Discussion applicability is restricted to extreme cases with a need & desire for escape from medically imposed prolongation of biological life. The conditions necessary for validation of a living will are discussed under the topics: notice, service of process, evidence, time or duration, & court-directed enforcement.
