This paper describes the nature & prevalence of social pathologies among the White Mountain Apaches by utilizing data from hospital records & death certificates. Research did not enable the authors to adequately determine the prevalence of suicide but they did determine that rates were not lower than normal. They found that the suicide rate for the period 1965-1967 was 20.0/100,000, a number higher than that for the nation, but not significantly so for the population under study.
