This article is part of a series which provides suggestions on how to conduct a bereavement group. The author discusses rituals & ceremonies to help the healing process in groups. Rituals often provide comfort & normalization for the bereaved, particularly around holidays. A ritual the author uses in his group is the reading of a brief statement before each meeting about coming together to share a common grief & a common bond. (VM)
