This article examines the relationship between various physiological, psychological & social variables & suicidal tendency among people with multiple sclerosis (MS). In 1986, a sample of 147 respondents with MS was obtained. The authors studied the absence of social support systems as an important predictor of suicidal tendency in people with MS. Findings suggest the lack of family support, hopelessness, & self-perceived religiosity may be predictors of suicidal tendency. (28 refs.)
