This study examined all firearm fatalities in East Denmark from 1984-87. The majority (80%) were suicides, & the majority of these were men. There were only 4 accidents, 2 of which were due to “Russion roulette”. An increase in the total number of suicides with firearms was found, as well in the relative number of homicides, when compared with previous Danish investigations. The authors recommend further limits on the availability of firearms. (VM)
