Can Changes in the Unemployment Rates Explain the Recent Changes in Suicide Rates in Developed Countries?

This study analyzes the connection between unemployment & suicide in 16 developed countries. For men, suicide rates rose with unemployent, they discovered that, in general, the amount of the increase which could be explained was small. The authors conclude that unemployment has a weak relationship with suicide. (VM)
