This article begins with a description of the family dysfunctions described by Pfeffer (1981) which may cause a child to commit suicide. The authors also briefly describe a study they implemented. In the study, 100 nurses, clergy, & teachers were surveyed to discover the knowledge & intervention techniques used by each group. Differences were found in the treatment of pathophysiological behaviours & in anticipatory responses. (VM)
