This article provides information on poisoning by aluminium phosphide pellets, which are widely used agents for grain fumigation. Aluminium phosphide ingestion is the most frequent suicidal method in northern India. The biological results of ingestion, as well as the approxixmate numbers of deaths are deatiled. (VM)
