This article summarizes the result of numerous studies by the author, all of which compared the content of suicide notes with the theories of prominent psychologists such as Freud, Adler, Jung, & Menninger. From these studies, the author compiled a list of the characteristic components displayed in suicide notes. These include: unbearable psychological pain, rejection-aggression, & cognitive constriction. Preventive measures are also included. (VM)
