This article defines normal, uncomplicated bereavement of youngsters of different ages, & compares it to the bereavement of suicide survivors. Posttraumatic Stress Disorder is also described, as well as complicating factors such as lack of social support, vulnerability & a lack of resilience. The authors present information on increased suicide by those exposed to suicide, & provide postvention techniques to block imitative suicides. (VM)
