In this study, the high-affinity binding ofthe B-adrenergic receptor antagonist 3-H dihydroalprenolol was measured in homogenates of the frontal cortex of suicide victims with regard to the number B-adrenergic receptors or the binding affinity of the receptor. However, violent suicide appears to be associated with an increased number of serotonin-2 receptors in the frontal cortex. (VM)
