Personality and Symptom Dimension of the MCMI-II: An Item Factor Analysis

Male psychiatric patients were tested on the Millon Clincial Multiaxial Inventory (MCMI-II) to analyze the personality disorder items & the clinical symptoms items of the MCMI-II. The personality disorder factors were Schizotypal, Social Introversion vs. Extraversion, Conformity, Submissive vs. Aggressive, Antisocial, Narcissism, & Hostile Aggression. The symptom factors were Depression/Anxiety, Alcohol Dependence, Suicidal Ideation, Hypomania, & Drug Dependence. (VM)
