This letter to the editor is written by a psychiatrist who disagrees with Dr. Jack Kevorkian, a doctor, who assisted the suicide of a woman suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. The author points out that Alzheimer’s disease is still diagnosed at autopsy, & the woman could have been suffering from depression. He asserts it is dangerous for physicians to assist suicide, due to the many causes of depression. (VM)
