Examines problems in assessing suicidality for head injury survivors in residential treatment settings. These include the vocabulary of life & death, clients who forget, lack of executive function, initiative, inability to switch set & concrete thinking, & aphasias & word-finding difficulties. The importance of a thorough, early interdisplinary assessment, including the cognitive landscape, is emphasized.
