Personality Patterns of Suicidal Mental Hospital Patients (IN: Basic Readings on the MMPI, ed. by G Welsh and W G Dahlstrom)

In this study, the results of the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory on both non-suicidal & suicidal patients from a veterans mental hospital is analyzed. The suicidal group was further broken down into those who had attempted suicide & those who had threatened suicide. The authors found that the group who threatened suicide were the most seriously disturbed while those who attempted suicide seem the least agitated & hospital of the 3 groups. (VM)
