This document explains the policies & procedures for the U.S. Army Suicide Prevention Program, as well as for psychological autopsies. The steps to establish the program are outlined, including creating a suicide prevention task force, a suicide risk management team, a family member suicide prevention program, & staff training. Also discussed are education, identification, lethality, crisis intervention, follow-up treatment, postvention activities, & how to administer a psychological autopsy. VM
