This article reports rates of personal violence during & after the revolutions in Hungary in 1956 & Czechoslovakia in 1968. The data collected was taken from the annual publication by the United Nations. It can be seen that the suicide rates dropped during the year of the revolution in Hungary, but did not change in Czechoslovakia. (2 refs.)(CH)
