This study found substantial differences between adolescent drug users who attempted suicide & those who did not. Differences were found in the ratings on the Beck Depression Scale. As well, attempters were more likely than non-attempters to report the following problems: serious learning disabilities, loneliness, mood swings, serious parental conflicts, temper tantrums & a life-long disease (e.g. asthma).
