Describes a multidisplinary process & a tool useful in assessing the degree of risk presented by suicidal children & adolescents, especially those receiving treatment in residential programs. Factors that contribute to suicide risk are organized in 7 dimensions, each to be assessed separately by the professional team. Global risk determination is attained by integrating findings in all dimensions. A protocol is provided to guide the team in systematicallly gathering the relevant data needed.
