This chapter discusses the life line for suicidal people of counsellor, friends, family, & activities. The life line offers someone or something to hold on to in the face of suicidal impulses. The authors describe the importance of the constancy of a client-therapist relationship to suicidal patients – who are often isolated & withdrawn.
