Psychosis, Aggression, and Self-Destructive Behavior in Hospitalized Adolescents

Describes a study of the history of aggressive & self-destructive behaviors in psychotic & nonpsychotic hospitalized adolescents who were evaluated by multidimensional measures of self- & other-directed aggression. Nonsignificant gender & diagnostic differences were obtained on ratings of violence & suicide. Additional findings are presented & results suggest the importance of social & cultural variables in understanding adolescent psychosis & aggression. 15 refs.
