This article discusses the use of group counseling as one strategy for dealing with suicidal adolescents. The scope of adolescent suicide & resistance to starting groups for suicidal adolescents is explored. Counselor characteristics, group composition, appropriate group goals & techniques for use with this population are also discussed. 15 refs.
