This short article discusses Jehovah’s Witnesses’ attitudes toward blood transfusion & their refusal to accept blood because of their religious beliefs. Whether this behavior is suicidal is questioned. Legal aspects of responsibilities of physicians are discussed. Alternatives to blood transfusions are noted. (CM)
