Reports the results of 395 suicide prevention/intervention programs e.g. telephone services. Each type of program is described in terms of 10 factors e.g. location. The services most often offered were education & public awareness, & telephone crisis lines. Most programs needed more funds & staff. The average number of suicide-related adolescents served last year was 76. The highest rate of suicide was found in school-based programs & the lowest, in non-hospital-based programs. (CM)
