Recommendation 1: Data Development (IN: Report of the Secretary’s Task Force on Youth Suicide. Volume 1: Overview and Recommendations)

The Task Force on Youth Suicide reports on Recommendation 1 which involves developing accurate, timely, & valid data on suicide & suicide attempts. This is subdivided into 1) developing uniform criteria for suicide, 2) establishing community based surveillance systems for suicide attempts, & 3) examining unusual suicide patterns. An action plan is described for each of the parts. (CM)
