The life of Stanley Bauder who killed himself after murdering his wife is described. Wartime experiences drastically changed his personality; he became a religious zealot, finding fault with his family who did not join his religion. Later he found another outlet in environmental & social concerns. Bauder moved to rural Minnesota & became alienated from the local community by openly asserting his pro-choice stand on abortion. (KM)
