McWhirter J J~~Kigin T J
Even though depression is the most common symptom experienced by adolescents who are suicidal, one would make a mistake to assume that a linear relationship exists between depression & suicide. The link between these two variable is not straightforward & sometimes suicide occurs in the absence of depression. This chapter examines the relationship between depression & suicide for adolescents & provides descriptions of depression, its causes & treatment approaches.
