60 college volunteers were given measures of arousal & agreement with pro-aggression & pro-suicide statements, before & after viewing 1 of 3 films: a film about suicide, a violent film, or a film with no violence or suicide. The first 2 films heightened arousal, & all films resulted in slightly less agreement with pro-aggression. Changes in arousal & agreement with pro-aggression correlated with each other & with changes in agreement with pro-suicide, especially for the film about suicide. (RM)
