540 middle & high school students were given a test battery in 3 consecutive years, with additional students tested each year. 95% of those with low scores in the first 2 years had low scores the third year. Only 3 students had high scores all 3 years. The best predictor of the second year suicide score was the first year’s score, while the best predictor of the third year’s suicide score was the first year’s depression score. (RM)
