Ryerson D M~~Meyers J~~Mazzeo R
This summarized paper describes the adaptation of an adolescent suicide awareness program in an urban, low income, multi-ethnic school system. It includes a discussion of the benefits incurred e.g. students welcome the opportunity to discuss feelings, problems, & coping skills; educators learn identification & referral skills, & an outline of the issues to be addressed to ensure the success of similar programs e.g. creation of appropriate audio visuals portraying urban minority students.
