Abstract
Study Suggests Some Bulimia Manageable During Chemical Dependency Treatment
Reports data collected at Hazeldon in 1984-85, suggesting that moderate cases of bulimia will not disrupt treatment of chemical dependency. Typical female chemically dependent bulimic patients were found to differ from asymptomatic peers by being polydrug users, having more behaviour problems, exhibiting self-destructive tendencies (self-injury or suicide thoughts or attempts), & having had mental health treatment. However, bulimics had the same treatment duration, discharge rates & conflicts.RM
