Borderline personality disorder defines a group of patients who are characterized by impulsivity, unpredictable behavior, inappropriate aggression, intense & unstable relationships, & are often associated with repeated suicidal behavior. An association has been suggested between these behaviors & biochemical disturbances. These disturbances & the use of drug therapy are examined by the author. 10 Refs. (NBB)
